I Would have loved to have been a wildlife photographer, but life got in the way! Now I just don’t have much spare time to sit quietly somewhere remote and wait for a bird or animal to come along. So I cheat! And so can you. Close by we have some very good places to do just that. Just over the river is Slimbridge Wild Fowl Trust. Here there are excelent photo opportunities, not only for bird photos, but they also have some interesting mammals, like this otter. A little further afield is the Cotswold Wildlife Park. They have some great animals, including penguins and the ever popular meerkats.
You don’t need a fancy camera or a telephoto lens to capture our more “tame” wildlife, as with this little cygnet or this cheeky robin. So why not get out there and give “wildlife” photography a go! Happy snapping!
