So, what might you expect at a typical CAP meeting? And what else do we offer our members besides the weekly meetings? Let's take a look.
At the start of each meeting, CAP's mission statement is read out (see below) followed by an around the Zoom room (or live) 1 minute introductions from each member or visitor.
This is a great chance for you to relay your skills and expertise to the group as well as learn more about others at the meeting.
It's always good to think about what to say ahead of the meeting in order to gain the maximum benefit.

Once the introductions are finished, a presentation is given by a member. Typically these last around 20 minutes.
Presentations can be varied in both content and style. For example it may contain information about your business, what you do and how. Or it might relay valuable information that affect other members, things like changes to social media, or new scams to watch out for, or new software to help your business become more effective.
Presentations could also be about your journey of how you arrived at your current situation, or perhaps about your hobby.
Are presentations compulsory for members? - No, they are simply an opportunity for those who wish to take it.

Sometimes we use the presentation slot to brainstorm ideas. For example - A member may have a challenge in their business which they are struggling to get through. In these situations often a member will spend a couple of minutes explaining the challenge, then throw it out into the room.
Results from sessions such as these offer solutions to members that can usually only be found from someone outside of your business, as often we are so engrossed in our own business we can't see the woods for the trees!
Ideal for new business owners and experienced alike.

Once the presentation or brain storm is complete, we go back around the room with leads and testimonials.
This is a great chance to thank and/or offer leads or contacts to fellow members. AOB will also be announced during this time.
Is supplying leads and contacts compulsory for members? - Once again, no they are not. We would prefer members to support each other without pressure. This approach works well.
