The team have been working in the web and tech industry for 30 years and have lots of experience in building bespoke software for SMEs to manage internal processes, creating unusual bespoke websites with additional client specific backend office systems and providing technical support and advice.
Dean Forest Tech also have a small print farm, based in the Forest, which prints models and terrain for the hobby market, bespoke designs for replacement parts for everyday items and custom print jobs for gifts and collectors.

YOUR NAME? - Jacqui Lewis-Everley NAME OF YOUR BUSINESS? - Dean Forest Tech WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE YOUR CURRENT BUSINESS? – Well, it is a long list (I have aged well…) started out working for the curators at the Bristol Museum, then at the BBC for a few years, followed by a succession of IT jobs. Did some customer service work, a bit of IT recruitment and then into marketing. Worked as a studio manager for a large digital marketing agency for quite a few years, then to Module IT as a Project Manager before setting up business with Mo as ilateral (now Dean Forest Tech). WHAT MADE YOU START YOUR CURRENT BUSINESS? - We wanted to do things how we felt they should be done. WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES? – Tabletop Gaming (with miniatures), board games, walking. Go to quite a few Comicons, although draw the line at dressing up! WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE? - Fifth Element WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE MEAL? – Hmm, chilli is top of the list I think – at least at the moment….. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE UK HOLIDAY DESTINATION? - York WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE HOLIDAY DESTINATION ABROAD? - Seattle WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TV PROGRAMME? – Currently ‘Agents of Shield’ YOUR FAVOURITE SONG? – Hmm, there are a lot of choices, but at the moment, I guess ‘Barbarian’ by the Darkness – went to see them in Bristol before Christmas and they are great live J WHAT DO YOU MOST ENJOY ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS? - Being able to help people de-mystify the web! Having the freedom to do things properly, rather than having to follow arbitrary processes. IF YOU HAD A MAGIC WAND WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS? A nice big, dedicated office space would be lovely. WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS TIME? Ideally with a couple more developers and providing the same levels of customer service, in that nice big dedicated office space J DO YOU HAVE ANY USEFUL TIPS OR IDEAS THAT YOU COULD SHARE WITH THE OTHER CAP MEMBERS? - Honesty is always best, even if it means you can’t do something. Never say a yes which you know will be very likely to turn into a no. And sometimes it is better for all if you do say No HOW HAS CAP BUSINESS CLUBS HELPED YOU IN YOUR BUSINESS? - Meeting other local businesses has been great, not just for business, but on a personal level too as we have found a lot of people who have helped us too. The camaraderie is great, as is the support. |
